Stephanie was introduced to yoga in her teens by her mother, a Kripalu style Hatha yogini, along with inclusive spirituality and awareness of breath from her father, a Sufi Sheikh. During her undergrad years studying dance at the University of Arizona, she began teaching Yoga at the Providence Institute in Tucson. After living on the west coast all her life, she shed her material belongings and moved to Brooklyn in 2003. The following year, she received her teacher training from Alison West at Yoga Union.

Stephanie emphasizes the marriage of breath and movement in each pose while focusing on alignment. She's deeply grateful for her hippy parents, amazing teachers who continue to open her eyes and hips, and students who open her heart!
